Controller

The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR is:

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted with TODO: hosting provider and server location. When you open the site, the server automatically processes the connection data your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of access, the URL requested, referrer and user agent.

This processing rests on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in operating the site securely and without disruption, and in preventing abuse.

A Cloudflare content delivery network sits in front of the server and all requests pass through it. Cloudflare likewise processes the IP address. TODO: confirm whether a data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place and add it here.

Address lookup (core function)

When you submit a listing URL or object ID, that input is transmitted to our server. The corresponding listing is then retrieved via the service provider Crawlbase and examined for address data.

The object ID queried and the outcome of the lookup are stored server-side in a log file at Amazon Web Services (AWS, Frankfurt region). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in operating the service, detecting abuse and improving it.

Recent results are additionally kept in your browser's local storage so that repeating a search does not trigger another server request. That data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.

Google Maps and Street View

To display a located address we embed map tiles and Street View panoramas from Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is loaded only once a result with an address exists.

In doing so your IP address and the address queried are transmitted to Google; transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out.

TODO: obtain consent under § 25 (1) TTDSG / Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR before Google Maps is loaded, and state the legal basis here accordingly.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) for audience measurement. Cookies or comparable identifiers are set and usage data — including a truncated IP address — is transmitted to Google.

TODO: Google Analytics is currently loaded without prior consent. § 25 (1) TTDSG requires consent for this. Before publishing this page, either add a consent banner or remove Google Analytics, then update this section to match.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).

Any consent you give can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), normally the authority where you reside or that of the controller.
